Angels might not appear to us,
nor might we see lights or hear supernatural voices.
But if we are attuned to the suffering around us,
we can recognize God’s call.
That willingness to step in and help
is both a sign of leadership and an invitation from God:
God acting through ordinary people.
God bringing life amidst the suffering and
death that surround us.
God rising from the dead.
