The secretary of MWC’s Peace Commission signed on to an interfaith statement on nuclear abolition.
We invite your prayers and actions for peace in concert with the statement:
Our spiritual traditions inform our perspectives: while humanity is capable of inflicting grave, even apocalyptic harm, humanity is also capable of collaborating in solidarity for life and well-being.
We lament the equating of nuclear weapons with technological, strategic, or political advancement, or with the assurance of safety. We reject the equating of the nuclear power industry as a symbol of decolonization or environmentalism….
Our ethics and spiritualities insist that we join together for nuclear abolition; attend to the historic and ongoing harms of nuclear disasters; and lift up our sincere prayers and efforts so that all lands, communities and beings may be safe, healthy and peaceful.
And so, as people of faith we bring our gifts, insights, and positionalities to forward efforts for peace, right relationship, and nuclear abolition – motivated and guided not only by the apocalyptic terror of nuclear weapons and the intolerable suffering caused by nuclearism, but also by the powerful collaborative work of justice and peace.

Please thank God for initiatives reviving the church in Europe. Thank God for church planting and some promising renewal in theological education. Continue to pray for a revival in the church and in theological education in the European countries. Please pray that Christians may be peaceful witness, especially as they relate with communities of other faiths. Please pray for the courage to spread the gospel. Please pray for a turning from the secular idolatry of wealth and health to the living God.

Please uphold Dhamtari Christian Hospital, run by the Mennonite Medical Board, an organization related to Mennonite Church in India, Dhamtari. With deep gratitude to God, we acknowledge that Dhamtari Christian Hospital has been serving the people with compassion and dedication for over a century, as a humble expression of Christ’s love.
In these challenging times, we are witnessing a growing trend – across our nation and state – where Christian institutions are being falsely accused and unfairly targeted to discredit their witness and service.
On 28 June 2025 Dhamtari Christian Hospital is facing false and baseless allegations from certain groups who seek to disrupt the peace and the sacred work being carried out there.
As one body in Christ, we stand in prayerful support of our hospital and its mission and all the Christian institutions.
We earnestly ask you to join us in lifting up Dhamtari Christian Hospital as well as all the Christian organizations before the Lord – please pray for the leadership and all those who serve faithfully, that they may be strengthened, protected and encouraged in their ministry.
