Please pray for the children, teenagers, and youth living in the rural areas of Colombia. May the Lord protect them and guard against them being recruited by armed groups. The three member conferences of MWC in Colombia are working together to reach 2000 children, youth and adults in 6 departments of Colombia. One of the initiatives is to prevent minors being recruited by armed groups.

Praise God for the Third Meeting of States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. “The future of humanity is a world without nuclear weapons,” declares the joint interfaith statement. MWC is a signatory.
“It is essential that the Mennonite churches in Angola and throughout the world reflect on the issue of stopping nuclear weapons. Let’s pray that God will grant us this request throughout our planet,” says Mário Panzo, leader of MWC member church in Angola, Igreja da Comunidade Menonita em Angola.
Pray for the commitment to interfaith efforts to educate, advocate, and mobilize communities to support the goal of nuclear abolition. Pray for the courage to challenge apathy, ignorance, powerlessness and silence through our work grounded in our spiritual commitment.

Paramilitary violence continues to menace rural communities in some parts of Colombia. Some MWC member congregations report their Easter celebrations were cancelled for the safety of the community. Pray for steadfast hope and courageous peacebuilding for those who live under threat of violence in Colombia, Myanmar, Ethiopia and for other parts of the Anabaptist family.

Pray for our country Zambia that rain will continue for better growth of maize and to have enough water for Kariba dam hydro electricity generation. Hunger is real since Zambia depends on maize for our Nshima.

Pray for the seven MWC member churches in the Andean region (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela)
- Gratitude for the many churches that have ministries to children and adolescents.
- Gratitude for young people who assume leadership in the churches. Pray that they will be called to pastoral ministry and for the availability of biblical, theological and pastoral training programs with an Anabaptist perspective.
- Drug production and trafficking continues to sow much violence and environmental damage. May the Spirit guide the work of churches and organizations in their work for nonviolence, justice and peace.

Job losses due to government spending cuts in the USA affect thousands of people directly and many others through pauses or cuts in program or service delivery. Additionally, tariffs on international trade will cause financial strain on various industries in both Canada and the USA and also Mexico, and China. Pray for those who are fearful of affording basic necessities. Pray that churches would respond to the needs in their communities with generosity and compassion even as they may be facing strain themselves.

Pray for MWC’s 8 member churches across India. Despite hostilities against Christian evangelism, each one is committed to sharing the gospel in their communities and beyond with gospel outreach, education, health care and church planting.

500 years ago, courageous men and women defied the powers in their society to follow their convictions as they understood Scripture in new ways. In the birthplace of Anabaptism, this faith continues to be nurtured through our churches. Pray for new ways for members to live out the courage to love, to share the Spirit of God with others.

Please pray for our churches in Costa Rica. May the churches be able to respond to the various needs of the families and to address the children holistically. Also, may we be able to revisit doctrinal, ethical issues, along with our Anabaptist identity as we take on the challenge of the next convention.
