New MWC website is mobile friendly and multilingual

A fresh look will greet web visitors to mwc-cmm.org after 14 May 2020. The website has been redesigned with greater functionality.

Mobile viewers will find responsive design that displays well on a smaller screen.

MWC teaching documents, worship resources, General Council-approved statements and other resources are easy to find in the Publications and Resources section which can be searched by type, language or group (e.g., Commission, Assembly, Anabaptist World Fellowship Sunday, etc.).

The website will automatically detect the user’s preferred language and show them pages in their language when available. MWC stories and resources have been translated in up to 12 languages: select language to view page in the available options.

Comments are simple to post using the Disqus plugin. Users can to respond to stories with a reaction emoji or leave comments using their existing Facebook, Twitter, or Google identities. “We hope this encourages interaction and multi-directional discussion between our readers,” says interim MWC communications director Elina Ciptadi.

The Mennonite World Conference website is also equipped with a member portal so Commissions and Networks can access private documents and discussion spaces to better connect and resource their ministry.

“We are grateful for the expert services of PeaceWorks Technology Solutions who overhauled the website and database system,” says César García, MWC general secretary. “We hope this tool will aid our mission of facilitating relationships between Anabaptist-related churches worldwide.”
