Ministry partner update: ICOMB – February 2020

The International Community of Mennonite Brethren (ICOMB) is made up of 21 national churches in 19 countries with approximately 450,000 members. ICOMB exists to facilitate relationships and ministries to enhance the witness and discipleship of its member national churches – connecting, strengthening and expanding.

The church family in Lithuania

Praise God for his faithful servants in Lithuania (Laisvųjų Krikščionių Bažnyčia – Free Christian Church), who have come through a difficult year with both joys and challenges. After planting a daughter church, the Vilnius Free Christian Church lost half their members and is still struggling with disappointment and with knowing where God is leading them next.

Pray for the church in Vilnius, for a renewed vision for church planting and reaching the community. Pray for pastor and conference leader Artūras Rulinskas, his wife Vita, and their family, for strength and courage to continue the ministry God has given them. Pray God’s provision for their family. Pray with the church in Vilnius for a worker to come and serve.

Some of the joys of 2019: 8 children and teenagers came to Christ at LKB summer camp (pictured); Vita’s community Bible study is growing, and she is able to produce study material for other Bible study groups all over the country; Artūras has published a devotional book, and is preparing to publish a second book; and he has also begun an evangelistic ministry program for primary schools and has reached approximately 130 children and 10 teachers so far.

Praise God for continued faithfulness, and for signs of hope and growth even amidst challenges.
