Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada \u2013 John D. Roth, secr\u00e9taire de la commission Foi et Vie de la Conf\u00e9rence Mennonite Mondiale, fut \u00e9lu \u00e9diteur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019Encyclop\u00e9die Universelle Anabaptiste Mennonite en Ligne (GAMEO \u2013 www.gameo.org<\/a>). Le conseil administratif de GAMEO vota de mani\u00e8re unanime le 19 mai 2017 pour d\u00e9placer la supervision du projet \u00e0 l\u2019Institut d\u2019\u00c9tudes de l\u2019Anabaptisme Mondial (ISGA) que John Roth dirige \u00e0 Goshen College, aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n

GAMEO est une encyclop\u00e9die en ligne, qui a pour but de rendre accessible sur internet les 5 tomes de l\u2019Encyclop\u00e9die Mennonite. Elle contient les 12 000 articles originaux en anglais, la plupart mis \u00e0 jour avec des informations r\u00e9centes, ainsi que 4 000 nouveaux articles soumis par des \u00e9diteurs b\u00e9n\u00e9voles et des comit\u00e9s r\u00e9gionaux de partout dans le monde. Et le corpus continue de cro\u00eetre. <\/p>\n

\u00ab Alors que le champ de la recherche anabaptiste-mennonite (\u00e0 Goshen College) s\u2019\u00e9largie pour inclure l\u2019\u00c9glise mondiale, il est appropri\u00e9 de faire entrer cette longue tradition de savoir de l\u2019\u00c9glise dans l\u2019\u00e8re digitale pour soutenir la vision mondiale de GAMEO \u00bb explique John Roth.<\/p>\n

GAMEO se compromet \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les nouveaux articles pour inclure une repr\u00e9sentation plus ample de l\u2019\u00c9glise mondiale.<\/p>\n

Avec l’ajout de GAMEO \u00e0 ses projets, l’ISGA changera les objectifs de son Global Anabaptist Wiki (www.anabaptistwiki.org<\/a>) pour qu\u2019il devienne des archives en ligne pour l’\u00e9glise mondiale et un d\u00e9p\u00f4t de ressources num\u00e9riques telles que le Dictionnaire Anabaptiste de la Bible, La Bibliotheca Digital Anabautista et les ressources en lien avec les relations \u0153cum\u00e9niques anabaptistes-mennonites.<\/p>\n

L’ISGA continuera \u00e0 collaborer avec le \u00ab Bearing Witness Stories Project \u00bb (www.martyrstories.org<\/a>), qui publie des histoires de chr\u00e9tiens anabaptistes et mennonites qui ont souffert \u00e0 cause de leur foi.<\/p>\n

La Conf\u00e9rence Mennonite Mondiale est l’un des six propri\u00e9taires institutionnels de GAMEO : le Comit\u00e9 Central Mennonite (MCC), la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Historique Mennonite du Canada, Mennonite Church USA, la Commission Historique des Fr\u00e8res mennonites l\u2019Institut d\u2019\u00c9tudes de l\u2019Anabaptisme Mondial. Un conseil d’administration, compos\u00e9 de repr\u00e9sentants de ces organisations, supervise les op\u00e9rations. La Conf\u00e9rence Mennonite Mondiale se charge d\u2019administrer les finances du projet.<\/p>\n
