Ouganda – Parmi les nombreux souvenirs que Shamma Nakawesi (Ouganda) ram\u00e8ne de son ann\u00e9e de volontariat en Indon\u00e9sie, figure une nouvelle compr\u00e9hension de ce que signifie aimer Dieu et aimer son prochain.<\/p>\n

\u00ab M\u00eame quand la vie est remplie d\u2019incertitudes, aimer Dieu et aimer son prochain est tout ce qui compte \u00bb, dit Shamma, qui a enseign\u00e9 l’anglais et fait un travail communautaire dans le village de Margorejo.<\/p>\n

Shamma Nakawesi faisait partie des 16 participants au programme 2012-2013 du R\u00e9seau Anabaptiste Mondial d’\u00c9change de Jeunes (YAMEN!) qui ont juste termin\u00e9 leur ann\u00e9e de volontariat.<\/p>\n

Ce programme commun du Comit\u00e9 Central Mennonite et de la CMM propose des stages \u00e0 des jeunes engag\u00e9s dans leur \u00e9glise locale et venant de pays autres que le Canada et les \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n

Shamma \u00e9crit que l’un des objectifs du programme est d’aider les jeunes \u00e0 grandir spirituellement dans un cadre interculturel. Au d\u00e9but, elle pensait que cela ne pourrait pas \u00eatre le cas, parce que les cultes de l’\u00e9glise de Margorejo \u00e9taient dans une langue qu’elle ne comprenait pas bien.<\/p>\n

Cette barri\u00e8re de la langue, ajoute-t-elle, l\u2019a rendue plus d\u00e9pendante de la Parole de Dieu et de la pri\u00e8re : \u00ab Vivre \u00e0 Margorejo m\u2019a non seulement rapproch\u00e9e de Dieu, et permis de ressentir son amour pour moi, mais il m\u2019a aussi ouvert les yeux sur ce que c\u2019est que d\u2019aimer les autres \u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Les deux plus grands commandements sont aimer Dieu et aimer son prochain, et cela est plus facile \u00e0 dire qu’\u00e0 faire. J’ai appris (et continue d\u2019apprendre) que je ne peux pas vraiment aimer les autres si je n’aime pas Dieu de tout mon c\u0153ur, dans la v\u00e9rit\u00e9, avec tout ce que je suis et tout ce que j’ai. \u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab Une fois que j’ai compris ce que cela signifie d’\u00eatre aim\u00e9e de Dieu, de ressentir son amour, je ne pouvais m’emp\u00eacher de lui dire mon amour tous les jours, et d\u2019apprendre \u00e0 m’abandonner \u00e0 Lui. Alors, aimer ma famille d’accueil, mes \u00e9l\u00e8ves, les enseignants, les jeunes de l’\u00e9glise et les gens de la communaut\u00e9 dans laquelle je vis est devenu beaucoup plus facile. \u00bb<\/p>\n

L’occasion de faire un stage pastoral en Indon\u00e9sie a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 une exp\u00e9rience enrichissante pour Prashant Nand (Inde).<\/p>\n

Repensant \u00e0 son enthousiasme et \u00e0 ses difficult\u00e9s pour s’adapter \u00e0 la nouvelle culture, il \u00e9crit : \u00ab Dans tout cela, du d\u00e9but \u00e0 la fin, j’ai particuli\u00e8rement appris que l\u2019essence du christianisme est l’amour \u00bb.<\/p>\n
