Harrisburg, Pennsylvanie, E.U. \u2013 La 16\u00e8me Assembl\u00e9e de la Conf\u00e9rence Mennonite Mondiale (CMM) s`est ouverte sur un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 des Mennonites du monde entier, sur une confession du traitement fait aux Natifs Am\u00e9ricains de la Pennsylvanie dans le pass\u00e9, et sur de la louange et des appels pour marcher ensemble avec Dieu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un groupe de Natifs Am\u00e9ricains de la Pennsylvanie a d\u00e9fil\u00e9 en jouant des percussions et en chantant, guid\u00e9s par Barry Lee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jessica McPherson et Lee ont partag\u00e9 des histoires de personnes natives de la Pennsylvanie qui ont perdu leurs terres au profit des blancs. Les Mennonites ont ensuite b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 de cette confiscation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durant une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie en 2010, les repr\u00e9sentants Natifs ont pardonn\u00e9 aux Mennonites qui ont avou\u00e9 leurs regrets pour la mani\u00e8re dont leurs anc\u00eatres ont trait\u00e9 les Natifs dans le pass\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Des repr\u00e9sentants des quatre conf\u00e9rences anabaptistes h\u00f4tes de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nement (Mennonite Church USA, U.S. Mennonite Brethen, Brethen in Christ Church in the U.S., et Conservative Mennonite Conference) ont aussi souhait\u00e9 la bienvenue aux participants. Plus de 7200 personnes de 56 pays se sont inscrites pour ce rassemblement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danisa Ndlovu du Zimbabwe, pr\u00e9sident de la CMM depuis 2009, a annonc\u00e9 que cette assembl\u00e9e \u00e9tait le r\u00e9sultat des nombreuses pri\u00e8res faites autour du monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u202fNous vivons une \u00e9poque de grands bouleversements et de changements\u202f\u00bb annon\u00e7a-t-il. En se r\u00e9f\u00e9rant au livre de l\u2019Apocalypse, Ndlovu exposa que \u00ab\u202fle besoin urgent de notre monde est pour [notre \u00e9glise] de former un seul corps avec plusieurs parties.\u202f\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u00e9sar Garc\u00eda de Colombie, secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la CMM, pr\u00eacha sur l\u2019Evangile de Luc 24\u202f:13-35. Il partagea son exp\u00e9rience en tant que militaire dans l\u2019arm\u00e9e colombienne alors qu\u2019il avait 17 ans. A l\u2019\u00e9poque, le service militaire \u00e9tait obligatoire et il n\u2019avait pas encore de convictions anabaptistes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il posa cette question\u202f: \u00ab\u202fest-il possible de marcher ensemble si nous avons des d\u00e9saccords ?\u202f\u00bb. Garc\u00eda souligna que dans le chapitre 24 de l\u2019Evangile de Luc, les disciples \u00e9taient en d\u00e9saccord et avaient des doutes apr\u00e8s la mort de J\u00e9sus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour Garc\u00eda, \u00ab\u202fEn marche\u202f\u00bb signifie une action continue qui demande \u00e0 ce que nous laissons nos craintes derri\u00e8re nous, mais aussi d\u2019ouvrir nos c\u0153urs et d\u2019\u00eatre investis dans le voyage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u202fAvec Dieu\u202f\u00bb demande une communion avec Dieu et avec les autres. Nous aurons nos moments de doutes et de conflits o\u00f9 nous pr\u00e9f\u00e8rerons marcher seuls.\u202fMais \u00ab\u202fnous reconnaitrons vite le besoin de marcher ensemble\u202f\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 capable d\u2019admettre \u00e0 son capitaine qu\u2019il \u00e9tait chr\u00e9tien et qu\u2019il ne pouvait pas tuer car quatre autres jeunes l\u2019avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait avant lui et avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 battus. \u00ab\u202fJ\u2019ai trouv\u00e9 une nouvelle communaut\u00e9 avec ces quatre amis\u202f\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et avec eux, il a pu se mettre en marche avec Dieu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
