Des th\u00e9ologiens femmes de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord tiennent une r\u00e9union inaugurale<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A l\u2019exemple de leurs soeurs de l\u2019Afrique et de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique latine qui ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 des r\u00e9seaux bien-d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s de th\u00e9ologiens femmes, une cinquantaine de th\u00e9ologiens femmes de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord se sont r\u00e9unies pour la premi\u00e8re fois le 22 juillet 2015 au complexe d\u2019Exposition Agricole \u00e0 Harrisburg, Pennsylvanie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elizabeth Soto, qui est \u00e0 l\u2019origine de la r\u00e9union, est l\u2019ancienne mod\u00e9ratrice de Mennonite Church USA (l\u2019\u00c9glise Mennonite des \u00c9tats-Unis), et s\u2019implique dans le r\u00e9seau des th\u00e9ologiens femmes de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique Latine. Linda Gehman Peachy et Michelle Armster, \u00e9galement de Mennonite Church USA, et Mary Anne Isaak, pasteur de River East Mennonite Brethren Church (\u00c9glise des Fr\u00e8res Mennonite de River East), Winnipeg, Canada, ont conduit la r\u00e9union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019assistance diversifi\u00e9e de femmes se sont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s. Parmi les raisons pour leur pr\u00e9sence elles ont cit\u00e9 l\u2019importance d\u2019avoir une voix collective; le d\u00e9sire d\u2019entendre les r\u00e9flexions d\u2019autres femmes; la recherche d\u2019une communaut\u00e9 sacr\u00e9e; la conviction que sans la voix des femmes la th\u00e9ologie n\u2019est pas compl\u00e8te et le d\u00e9sire d\u2019avoir des liens avec d\u2019autres femmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audrey Kanagy, pasteur \u00e0 Lancaster, Pennsylvanie, a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 un projet d\u2019art. Elle a invit\u00e9 des femmes de prendre part \u00e0 tout moment pendant le rassemblement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le projet de d\u00e9coupage appel\u00e9 \u201cWomen in Conversation<\/em>\u201d (les femmes en conversation) est de nature interd\u00e9pendante et communautaire a dit Kanagy. Les contributrices participent \u00e0 un processus o\u00f9 il n\u2019y a pas de r\u00e9ponse juste et o\u00f9 le produit fini est sans importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les femmes se sont s\u00e9par\u00e9es en petits groupes pour discuter des th\u00e8mes tels que leurs compr\u00e9hensions bibliques, la mobilisation des jeunes, la sexualit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9glise mondiale et le leadership des femmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En pr\u00e9paration pour une prochaine r\u00e9union conjointe avec les autres groupes continentaux de th\u00e9ologiens femmes, l\u2019assistance a lanc\u00e9 des id\u00e9es pour des activit\u00e9s possibles d\u2019un Reseau Mondial de Femmes, et a consid\u00e9r\u00e9 ce qu\u2019un tel r\u00e9seau pourrait offrir et demander de la Conf\u00e9rence Mennonite Mondial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La r\u00e9union du R\u00e9seau Mondial aura lieu le 24 juillet 2015, 13H30 \u00e0 17H00, dans la salle Delaware. (Directions: de l\u2019entr\u00e9e \u00e0 la rue Cameron, suivez des panneaux \u00e0 H (hall principal); traversez le hall principal jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e, tournez \u00e0 gauche et montez l\u2019escalier. La salle Delaware est derri\u00e8re la salle Susquehanna, accessible par un couloir \u00e0 gauche.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harriet Sider Bicksler est auteur et r\u00e9dactrice \u00e0 la retraite. Elle sert en tant que r\u00e9dactrice du Brethren in Christ Historical Society (Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Historique de l\u2019Eglise des Fr\u00e8res en Christ) pr\u00e9s de Harrisburg.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
