Cette crise s\u2019est rapidement aggrav\u00e9e avec des raids a\u00e9riens, des batailles terrestres, des massacres, des enl\u00e8vements et de la propagande de guerre de part et d\u2019autre.<\/p>\n<p>Personne n\u2019est plus affect\u00e9 par cette escalade que les civils, qui souhaitent simplement mener une existence normale sans craindre pour leur vie et leurs biens. Cette vie paisible et tranquille est une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 que beaucoup d\u2019entre nous consid\u00e8rent comme acquise, mais elle reste un r\u00eave lointain pour eux.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que la communaut\u00e9 anabaptiste-mennonite n\u2019ait pas de pr\u00e9sence eccl\u00e9siale sur les territoires isra\u00e9liens et palestiniens, il s\u2019agit d\u2019une terre qui rend hommage \u00e0 de multiples religions&nbsp;: Juda\u00efsme, Christianisme et Islam. En tant que disciples du Prince de la paix, en tant que personnes qui ne placent pas leur confiance dans des dirigeants terrestres, nous pleurons avec ceux qui souffrent et refusons de prendre parti selon des int\u00e9r\u00eats politiques.<\/p>\n<p>Dans un conflit qui semble interminable, dans un lieu qui a des liens tiss\u00e9s avec de nombreuses personnes de foi, je veux appeler la communion mondiale anabaptiste-mennonite \u00e0 se souvenir&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Alors J\u00e9sus lui dit [\u00e0 Pierre]&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Remets ton \u00e9p\u00e9e \u00e0 sa place, car tous ceux qui prennent l\u2019\u00e9p\u00e9e p\u00e9riront par l\u2019\u00e9p\u00e9e.&nbsp;\u00bb (Matthieu&nbsp;26,52&nbsp;TOB)<\/p>\n<p>Il sera juge entre les nations, l\u2019arbitre de peuples nombreux. Martelant leurs \u00e9p\u00e9es, ils en feront des socs, de leurs lances, ils feront des serpes. On ne brandira plus l\u2019\u00e9p\u00e9e nation contre nation, on n\u2019apprendra plus \u00e0 se battre.
