Naci\u00f3 en Jepara, Indonesia, el 9 de septiembre del 1939. Te\u00f3logo, profesor y administrador acad\u00e9mico, autor y consejero, Mesach Krisetya fue amado como mentor y maestro.<\/p>\n<p>Tras su conversi\u00f3n al cristianismo, cre\u00f3 un nuevo nombre para s\u00ed mismo que significa \u201chombre a prueba de fuego, leal a Cristo\u201d: \u201cMesach\u201d, de uno de los hombres hebreos que no fueron consumidos por el fuego en el horno de Nabucodonosor, y \u201cKrisetya\u201d que significa seguidor de Cristo.<\/p>\n<p>Durante su periodo como presidente del CMM, el CMM inici\u00f3 un di\u00e1logo ecum\u00e9nico a nivel mundial tanto con la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica (Vaticano) como con la Federaci\u00f3n Luterana Mundial. En el 2002, por invitaci\u00f3n del Papa Juan Pablo II, \u00e9l particip\u00f3 en representaci\u00f3n del CMM en la Jornada de Oraci\u00f3n por la Paz en el Mundo.<\/p>\n<p>Como presidente, Mesach, Krisetya enfatiz\u00f3 las relaciones de iglesia a iglesia, insistiendo en que \u201cel CMM debe pertenecer a la gente\u201d, no solo a las personas en el liderazgo directamente involucradas.<\/p>\n<p>Su discurso de 1993 \u201cDe la Dependencia a la Interdependencia en la Iglesia Global\u201d, pronunciado ante el Concilio General en Zimbabue, influy\u00f3 en el desarrollo de la identidad del CMM como una koinon\u00eda. \u00c9l dijo que visualiz\u00f3 el CMM como un lugar \u201cdonde las personas menonitas forman una relaci\u00f3n de trabajo para responder [sic] a la necesidad de \u2018interconexi\u00f3n\u2019 entre las personas menonitas y el mundo\u2026; pegamento para las relaciones de iglesia a iglesia o de conferencia a conferencia&#8230;; un centro donde todos los miembros del cuerpo se sientan aceptados y necesitados, por lo que forman un nuevo tipo de relaci\u00f3n de interdependencia en un sentido global\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mesach Krisetya estudi\u00f3 teolog\u00eda en Semarang. Recibi\u00f3 una maestr\u00eda en divinidad (MDiv) del Seminario B\u00edblico de Goshen (EE. UU.); una maestr\u00eda en teolog\u00eda (MTh) del \u2018Christian Counseling Center\u2019 en Vellore, India; educaci\u00f3n pastoral cl\u00ednica de \u2018Prairie View\u2019, Newton, Kansas, EE. UU. y \u2018United Theological College\u2019 Bangalore, India; y un doctorado en ministerio (DMin) en la \u2018Claremont School of Theology\u2019 en EE. UU.<\/p>\n<p>Mesach Krisetya ense\u00f1\u00f3 y sirvi\u00f3 en la administraci\u00f3n en varias universidades de Indonesia, siendo pionero en el campo de la consejer\u00eda pastoral. \u00c9l escribi\u00f3 libros sobre consejer\u00eda pastoral y public\u00f3 art\u00edculos sobre las relaciones interreligiosas en Indonesia, el cuidado pastoral, la misi\u00f3n Cristiana y la misi\u00f3n de la iglesia.<\/p>\n<p>En Indonesia, \u00e9l sirvi\u00f3 a la \u2018GKMI*\u2019, iglesia miembro nacional del CMM, como presidente desde 1996 al 1999. Tambi\u00e9n fue un partidario del movimiento de renacimiento juvenil que se convirti\u00f3 en la actual \u2018JKI\u2019. *<\/p>\n<p>Durante la Asamblea 17 en Indonesia, \u00e9l no pudo participar en la reuni\u00f3n por motivos de salud, pero recibi\u00f3 en su casa a peque\u00f1os grupos para las conversaciones alentadoras por las que era conocido.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEsta situaci\u00f3n nos ha quitado, por un tiempo, la posibilidad de seguir compartiendo con Mesach\u201d, dice C\u00e9sar Garc\u00eda, secretario general del CMM. \u201cEl ministerio global que desarroll\u00f3 nos deja un profundo sentido de gratitud por los dones que Dios nos dio a trav\u00e9s de su vida. Los directivos, el Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo y todo el personal del Congreso Mundial Menonita se unen a la Familia \u2018GKMI\u2019 en el duelo por su muerte\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Lo lloran su esposa Miriam, dos hijos adultos y sus c\u00f3nyuges, y cinco nietos. Como una persona que naci\u00f3 en el evangelio y la iglesia, \u00e9l estaba muy preocupado por la iglesia y la gente. Estamos muy orgullosos de \u00e9l por sus logros como profesor de consejer\u00eda pastoral. Adem\u00e1s de todos sus logros, \u00e9l todav\u00eda era una persona miembro fiel de su congregaci\u00f3n local \u2018GKMI\u2019 en Salatiga. \u00c9l y su esposa siempre llegaban temprano al servicio de la iglesia y saludaban a todas las persona miembro con total hospitalidad.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2014Agus Mayanto, secretario general de la \u2018GKMI* y representante regional del CMM para el Sudeste Asi\u00e1tico.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>La relaci\u00f3n con Mesach fue uno de los regalos m\u00e1s preciados que recib\u00ed durante mis 22 a\u00f1os con el CMM. Mesach era un gigante: un hombre alto que vivi\u00f3 los valores Anabautistas de humildad y gracia. Su visi\u00f3n para el CMM es lo que todav\u00eda estamos construyendo. Al mismo tiempo, debajo de su profundo velo espiritual, Mesach ten\u00eda cierto sentido del humor.
