{"id":8625,"date":"2016-10-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-10-19T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/coffin-maker-overcomes-evil-with-good-3\/"},"modified":"2024-12-10T17:59:59","modified_gmt":"2024-12-10T17:59:59","slug":"coffin-maker-overcomes-evil-with-good-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/es\/stories\/coffin-maker-overcomes-evil-with-good-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Fabricante de ata\u00fades hace prevalecer el bien sobre el mal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Tulio Pedraza: Perseguido en Colombia, 1949-1964<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cuando los misioneros llegaron a Colombia para establecer las primeras congregaciones menonitas del pa\u00eds, Tulio Pedroza y su esposa Sof\u00eda fueron los dos primeros convertidos al evangelio. Se bautizaron en junio de 1949, s\u00f3lo un a\u00f1o antes, un candidato pol\u00edtico liberal, hab\u00eda sido asesinado su muerte encendi\u00f3 una guerra civil que durar\u00eda diez a\u00f1os. Ya que el protestantismo era visto como otra amenaza a la unidad de Colombia ya en jaque, los protestantes colombianos enfrentaban una significativa oposici\u00f3n de parte de las autoridades municipales, de los sacerdotes cat\u00f3licos y de sus propios vecinos.<\/p>\n<p>Tulio era un fabricante de ata\u00fades en el peque\u00f1o pueblo de Anolaima, tambi\u00e9n era ciego. Esto no impidi\u00f3 que su negocio fuese lo suficientemente exitoso para sustentar a su familia ya que \u00e9l era el \u00fanico fabricante de ata\u00fades en el pueblo, pero cuando el sacerdote local se enter\u00f3 del bautismo de Tulio, comenz\u00f3 a hacerle la vida dif\u00edcil a la familia Pedroza.<\/p>\n<p>Primero declar\u00f3 que los ata\u00fades \u201cprotestantes\u201d de Tulio no eran \u201cadecuados\u201d para enterrar a los cat\u00f3licos, desde el p\u00falpito, le dijo a los parroquianos que \u00e9l no oficiar\u00eda ning\u00fan funeral usando un ata\u00fad comprado al menonita. El negocio se vino a pique. Tulio s\u00f3lo pod\u00eda venderles ata\u00fades a amigos cercanos y a aquellos que ignoraban la declaraci\u00f3n del sacerdote, aunque a\u00fan esos clientes se vieron forzados a viajar a los pueblos circundantes para tener sus servicios f\u00fanebres, ya que el sacerdote local se rehus\u00f3 a oficiarlos.<\/p>\n<p>Luego el sacerdote hizo lo necesario para asegurarse que a\u00fan esas escasas ventas se terminaran. Conoci\u00f3 a un carpintero en otro peque\u00f1o pueblo, el sacerdote ayud\u00f3 a conseguir una casa y las herramientas para este carpintero y lo convenci\u00f3 de mudarse a Anolaima para comenzar un negocio de competencia de fabricaci\u00f3n de ata\u00fades. Despu\u00e9s de la llegada de este nuevo competidor, Tulio ya no pudo pagar sus materiales. Se vio forzado a cerrar su negocio.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de no estar seguro de qu\u00e9 hacer despu\u00e9s, Tulio nunca abandon\u00f3 el amor y la decencia que aprendi\u00f3 imitando a su Se\u00f1or. En vez de sentir recelo por el fabricante de ata\u00fades rival, se acerc\u00f3 a \u00e9l para entablar amistad. Cuando el negocio del hombre ciego se desmoron\u00f3, le vendi\u00f3 sus herramientas a su competidor. Por medio de este gesto de benevolencia, ayud\u00f3 a consolidar el negocio del hombre cuya presencia acab\u00f3 con el suyo.<\/p>\n<p>Tulio y su esposa hicieron todo lo posible para ganarse la vida, trataron de comenzar una panader\u00eda, una granja av\u00edcola y un negocio de fabricaci\u00f3n de velas, pero con poco \u00e9xito. La experiencia de Tulio era la fabricaci\u00f3n de ata\u00fades. Ninguno de estos negocios pudo proporcionar ingresos suficientes para sustentar a la familia. Tulio se desanimaba m\u00e1s con cada empresa que fracasaba, pero su fe le dio la fuerza para persistir.<\/p>\n<p>Sus luchas se vieron agravadas por otros actos de persecuci\u00f3n. Escribiendo poco despu\u00e9s que Tulio perdiera su negocio de fabricaci\u00f3n de ata\u00fades, el misionero menonita local Greald Stucky inform\u00f3:<\/p>\n<p>La persecuci\u00f3n ha continuado. Los hijos de Tulio fueron humillados en la escuela p\u00fablica, por ser protestantes, su propiedad y la vida de su familia se han visto continuamente amenazadas. Las personas que antes eran sus amigas ahora se reh\u00fasan a hablarle en la calle; las tiendas se reh\u00fasan a venderle; se ha convertido en un marginado por la causa de Cristo. A pesar de esto, Tulio contin\u00faa firme en la fe, confiando d\u00eda a d\u00eda en el Se\u00f1or. No hay ning\u00fan rencor en su coraz\u00f3n por aquellos que le han causadotantas maldades. Contin\u00faa siendo testimonio de la luz que encontr\u00f3 en Cristo. Tulio es un testimonio viviente del poder del evangelio para combatir con el bien al mal.<\/p>\n<p>En m\u00e1s de una ocasi\u00f3n la vida de Tulio fue amenazada por razones religiosas. Despu\u00e9s de un encuentro realmente atemorizante, \u00e9l y su esposa pasaron la noche en el refugio de una escuela menonita en un pueblo vecino llamado Cachipay.<\/p>\n<p>Tulio muri\u00f3 en paz en 1964. El carpintero rival que hab\u00eda sido tra\u00eddo para destruir el negocio de los Pedraza don\u00f3 el ata\u00fad para el entierro de Tulio. A pesar de que el funeral fue un servicio menonita, el fabricante de ata\u00fades asisti\u00f3 al mismo, arriesgando su propia reputaci\u00f3n en la comunidad para honrar a un hombre que le hab\u00eda mostrado un amor muy inusual, nacido de una profunda fe.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" data-src=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/website_files\/bearingwitnessbook.jpg\" style=\"font-style: italic; width: 100px; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; float: right; height: 155px;\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>\u2014Comunicado del Congreso Mundial Menonita.
