Bogot\u00e1, Colombia – Temprano en la ma\u00f1ana del domingo de Pascua, 05 de abril, Edgardo S\u00e1nchez, l\u00edder en la Iglesia Evang\u00e9lica Menonita Argentina<\/em> muri\u00f3 en un accidente automovil\u00edstico mientras viajaba a su casa en Neuqu\u00e9n, Argentina.<\/p>\n

El mismo d\u00eda en la tarde el Secretario General del Congreso Mundial Menonita, C\u00e9sar Garc\u00eda, desde Bogot\u00e1, Colombia, comparti\u00f3 la tr\u00e1gica noticia con los miembros directivos y el personal del CMM. S\u00e1nchez fue miembro del Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo del CMM desde 2009 y representaba a su iglesia en el Concilio General del CMM.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan los informes, S\u00e1nchez y su hija se vieron involucrados en un accidente mientras iban hacia su casa en Neuqu\u00e9n al regresar de unas reuniones en Buenos Aires. Ambos fueron trasladados en ambulancia a un hospital cercano. S\u00e1nchez muri\u00f3 varias horas despu\u00e9s debido a las m\u00faltiples lesiones ocasionadas por el accidente. Su hija sobrevivi\u00f3 y fue dada de alta del hospital.<\/p>\n

S\u00e1nchez, de 52 a\u00f1os, era pastor y director de la escuela Fundaci\u00f3n Vida en Neuqu\u00e9n. Su funeral se celebr\u00f3 el 6 de abril. Le sobreviven su esposa \u00c9rica y sus tres hijos.<\/p>\n
