{"id":134043,"date":"2026-10-29T15:30:05","date_gmt":"2026-10-29T15:30:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/?p=134043"},"modified":"2026-10-29T15:30:08","modified_gmt":"2026-10-29T15:30:08","slug":"council-bridges-denominations-age-gender","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/stories\/council-bridges-denominations-age-gender\/","title":{"rendered":"Advisory council bridges denominations, age and gender\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em><sup>Members of the NAC meet with Assembly team members in Arusha in September 2026.<\/sup><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two Tanzanian Mennonite churches (Kanisa la Mennonite Tanzania \u2013 KMT and Kanisa La Mennonite La Kiinjili Tanzania \u2013 KMK(T)) will work together side by side to host Assembly 18 in 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Six members have been appointed to the National Advisory Council to assist MWC staff and volunteers in planning the worldwide event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nelson Kisare, chair, KMT, head bishop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>John Sean, vice-chair, KMK(T), general secretary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emmanuel Hagai, member at large, KMT, general secretary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dorothy Kawira, member at large, KMT, chair of national women\u2019s association<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mutani Emmanuel Yebete, member at large, KMK(T), chair of national youth organisation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zakaria Bunini, member at large, KMK(T), MWC General Council delegate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The national advisory council is composed of representatives of the member conferences to whom it is responsible. Its role is to provide counsel to MWC on planning the Assembly, to assure participation from the host conferences, to assess the gifts KMT and KMK(T) can contribute, to initiate local fundraising, and to communicate about the event with local congregations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n<div class=\"taxonomy-post_tag has-link-color wp-elements-1
