{"id":129365,"date":"2026-06-30T16:03:22","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T16:03:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/?p=129365"},"modified":"2026-07-21T09:47:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T09:47:52","slug":"picturing-the-2028-assembly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/stories\/picturing-the-2028-assembly\/","title":{"rendered":"Picturing the 2028 Assembly"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2028 Assembly logo was created through collaboration from two designers in Tanzania, Zakaria Bunini from KMK(T) and Jonathan Pharas from KMT, and Irma Sulistyorini, the MWC graphic designer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tanzanian church leaders approved the design which includes several key elements: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mount Kilimanjaro<\/strong> with a snow-topped summit to represent Tanzania and the Arusha region, host to Assembly 18. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Giraffe:<\/strong> Arusha National Park (situated close to the conference centre for Assembly 18) has a large population of giraffes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Arc:<\/strong> this half circle echoes the circle of the MWC logo which declares our value of unity. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Blue, green:<\/strong> these colours are both from the Tanzanian flag and the MWC colour bar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:200\" class=\"taxonomy-post_tag has-link-color wp-elements-c156640d9bee56933ae7a5b97a71238b wp-block-post-terms has-text-color has-gray-color\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/stories\/tag\/assembly\/\" rel=\"tag\">Assembly<\/a><span class=\"wp-block-post-terms__separator\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/stories\/tag\/logo\/\" rel=\"tag\">logo<\/a><span class=\"wp-block-post-terms__separator\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/stories\/tag\/tanzania\/\" rel=\"tag\">Tanzania<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-gray-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-63f6b8d5fbf9ecbe8776e2acc1c67905 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-style:italic;font-weight:200\">Updated 2026-07-13: designer&#8217;s name corrected<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2028 Assembly logo was created through collaboration from two designers in Tanzania, Zakaria Bunini from KMK(T) and Jonathan Pharas from KMT, and Irma Sulistyorini, the MWC graphic designer.
