Peace is action,\u201d said Oscar&nbsp;Siwali&nbsp;(South Africa)&nbsp;of SADRA, a member of GAPN.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/networks\/global-anabaptist-service-network-gasn\/\">Global Anabaptist Peace Network&nbsp;(GAPN)<\/a> hosted a webinar on 22&nbsp;September&nbsp;2025 in conjunction with Peace Sunday and the International Day on Peace. Panelists from Colombia and South Africa (including Oscar&nbsp;Siwali) discussed the pressing issues affecting peace today and participants shared experiences of nonviolent actions in their&nbsp;contexts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/commissions\/\">Commissions<\/a> include representatives of churches, while <a href=\"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/networks\/\">Networks<\/a> mostly include representatives of church-related agencies. Commissions primarily serve national churches and Networks primarily serve their member organizations, but both work on matters of vital concern to the global church,\u201d says J Ron Byler (USA), MWC director of Commissions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the General Council meetings in Germany this year, all five Networks also met on 25-28 May 2025&nbsp;to clarify their vision and mission, appoint new leaders, and decide matters relating to membership,&nbsp;program&nbsp;and finances.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-no-line-eyebrow\">The goals of Networks&nbsp;are to&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>encourage stronger collaboration among&nbsp;members;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>share best&nbsp;practices;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provide&nbsp;shared opportunities for&nbsp;training;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accomplish things together that each cannot&nbsp;attempt&nbsp;individually.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWorking&nbsp;hand-in-hand, Networks and Commissions together help fulfill MWC\u2019s vision of being a worldwide community of
