{"id":17305,"date":"2024-11-19T17:39:38","date_gmt":"2024-11-19T17:39:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/resources\/global-church-sharing-fund-application-package\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T06:31:48","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T06:31:48","slug":"global-church-sharing-fund-application-package","status":"publish","type":"mwcresource","link":"https:\/\/mwc-cmm.org\/en\/resources\/global-church-sharing-fund-application-package\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Church Sharing Fund Application package"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Criteria:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An MWC member\/associate member or an organization associated with member churches is eligible for Jubilee funds if the request is related to and enhances the four pillars of church life: fellowship, worship, service and witness.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Jubilee account can support member churches in case of need after natural or human-made disasters.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The member church submitting the request must contribute at least 30% toward the endeavour. This requirement does not apply in cases of disasters.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The amount requested should not exceed US $10 000. In some cases (e.g., disasters), the maximum amount can be exceeded at the discretion of the committee that decides on the applications.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An MWC member church will be eligible for only one grant in a three-year period.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The respective MWC regional representative must be informed of all fund requests.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We appreciate the commitment of the churches in the activities of the MWC programs like Anabaptist World Fellowship Sunday, YABs Fellowship Week, Peace Sunday, and Fair Share contribution&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedure:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An application package is available on the MWC website or upon request from any MWC office.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requests must be officially approved by the national church officers and should include what the applicant church will contribute toward the project.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forms A, B and C and the Budget template (Excel) must be submitted by mail to the MWC Kitchener office or by email to <a href=\"mailto:TigistTesfaye@mwc-cmm.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TigistTesfaye@mwc-cmm.org<\/a>, copying your regional representative in your email exchange.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Form D and the Expense Report template (Excel) are to be submitted as the final narrative and financial report.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The director of commissions, and chair and secretary of the Deacons Commission form the committee that decides on the applications.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Following our MOU with Mennonite Central Committee, MWC will include an MCC advisor in the committee decisions about allocations from the Global Church Sharing Fund.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This committee may ask advice from MWC Regional Representatives and other organizations involved in the area.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monitoring:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The member church receiving the grant must maintain accurate records of all financial disbursements.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The first progress report is required within one to three months after the funds have been disbursed. For construction projects, the first report should be submitted immediately after the disbursement.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A mid-term project report is required within one year of receiving the fund. This update should include a financial report detailing expenditures to date, an updated budget for project completion, and a revised project timeline.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Form D and the Expense Report template (Excel) are to be submitted as the final narrative and financial report within three months of project completion.
