Christians enter into the story of our faith by celebrating central convictions on certain days, like the birth of Jesus at Christmas, the resurrection of Jesus at Easter, and the gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. MWC will be inviting member churches to join together every year on the first Sunday of September<\/strong>, to celebrate God\u2019s act of creation on Creation Sunday<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We encourage your church to consider joining other Anabaptist churches \u2013 along with other Christian traditions* \u2013 in celebrating God\u2019s act of creation this Sunday, and to reflect on how we can be faithful stewards of all parts of this rich, diverse natural world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Accompanying this letter, you will find a web link<\/a> to worship resources to use in celebrating Creation Sunday<\/strong> on 6\u00a0September or at any time that suits your worship calendar. CCWG has selected a set of resources that we find are particularly helpful in faithfully following Christ in care for creation, and that align with our Anabaptist values. We invite you to use those resources which best resonate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n September also represents the start of the \u201cSeason of Creation\u201d, a month-long period (1\u00a0September\u20134 October) for Christians to pray and act together for creation. It becomes an annual celebration like Pentecost and Epiphany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
year\u2019s theme is \u201cLiving Water<\/strong>\u201d, based on Ezekial 47:1-12<\/strong>.
