Strengthening the arms of response

At the dawn of a third pandemic year, there is weariness from the ongoing griefs, but churches are continuing with their mission despite old and new challenges.

Scholars connect and grow

The Anabaptist Mennonite Scholars Network connects students and professors within a network of networks. It fosters global connections in research and to provide a contact point for shared information and resources.

How do churches practice creation care?

How exactly are churches feeling called to respond to issues of creation care, including climate change?

To find out how churches are responding, the task force asked two sets of questions: one “closed-ended” giving a list of possible responses to creation in general, and the other “open-ended” asking to identify any responses their church has had to climate change specifically.

Created in the beauty of climate

For Christians, a theological framework is needed to relate alarming climate problems to our commitment to peace. The story of creation provides this framework, where humanity’s existence is part of the Creator’s beautiful ordering of climate.

In memoriam: Joren Basumata (1948–2021)

Join us in prayer and gratitude for a national church leader who has also served the global family through MWC. Joren Basumata of BJCPM India died 15 October 2021 at 73.

AWFS: How Mennonites came to be

Anabaptist World Fellowship Sunday

Mennonite World Conference began in 1925 as a way of bringing together the many churches from different streams of Anabaptism. Today MWC has member churches in 58 countries, each with their own story of how they began and came to be part of our Anabaptist communion. Anabaptist World Fellowship Sunday is an annual event for MWC member congregations around the world, worshipping together in spirit using the same worship resources, knowing that we belong to each other in this global family of faith.

Prayers of gratitude and intercession

Pray for the many MWC meetings in Indonesia in July 2022 – the member church delegates at the General Council, Commissions, MWC networks (mission, service, peace, education, health), and the global Assembly itself. Pray for health and safety of all participants. Pray that the Spirit will move in the midst of the gatherings, uniting and strengthening the body.
